Hi, Just a quick update on my cousin in Bangladesh - still no news, yet. I want to thank everyone for your continued prayers and support. And a special thank you to a my Brothers and Sisters who have been in touch over email - your support and sharing of yourselves are deeply appreciated, and a source of *GREAT* Blessings. Last night I was alone painting in our soon to be new home. With all that has happened in the last three weeks I had finally given up on God. My friend Larry died of cancer, my cousin Bob is still missing in Bangladesh, many thousands died in Bangladesh, many more thousands are slowly starving to death in Africa, the deaths recently in the Mid-West, I had a schedule set back on my project at work, the condo sale was being delayed for the 100th time, we're moving, and other big and small things. All day I told Him off, calling Him every name in the book. To put it mildly I'd let go of God. But praise Him, He didn't let go of me!!! While painting, my best friend dropped by. He told me he didn't know why he was there, as he had to drive several miles out of his way to get there, and he didn't even think I'd be there since he knew we'd be packing for our move this weekend. But he said he just believes God wanted him to drop by. Bob talked with me and shared with me for over half an hour. He said a lot of things that hit home. One thing he said that particularly hit me had to do with God not killing my friend Larry, or all those people in Bangladesh, or his own brother-in-law who he was close to. He mentioned that one of God's commands is "You will not kill," and that God wouldn't break one of His own commands. Then something in my head went click - that means God is true to His own Word. I have a lot of growing to do, and I can trust God to help me do it. I'll never understand His ways, but I can only believe He knows what He's doing. I *must* believe this, the alternative is the living hell of despair I've wallowed in these last 3 weeks, and especially these past two days. Thank you for your continued prayers, and I ask God to Bless you, too. Let's all continue to pray for eachother and all our needs. Prayer IS powerful.
