The Christian Story Once upon a time there was man, and man was good and man was sinless. But man sinned. The wages (cost) for sin is death. But God did not want to kill man, so He allowed for animals to be killed to pay for man's sins. Then came grace. God sent his only son (fully God, yet fully man) to die for the sins of man. God now said that any one who beleived that His son (Jesus) died for him would have all of his sins paid in full for ever (forgiveness and grace). Man did not change and over night become sinless, he just was given an infinite expense account.
