[Sorry if a few aborted messages may have gone out, but I was unable to reply to the "bug shoo" query in net.misc using the "f" command of readnews. It kept complaining about unmatched quotes!] A long time ago (I think around 1970) Popular Electornics (or some similar magazine) published an atricle describing how to build a device they called a "bug shoo." It emitted an ultrasonic frequency that was supposed to repel mosquitos. I built one and was never bitten, but then we never had many mosquitos flying around Los Angeles at that time anyway.
