Question: Why according to the christian faith, the idea that "God is in all and all is in God", not a true concept.

Dave Hatcher asks the Question: >> Why according to the christian faith, the idea that "God is in all >> and all is in God", not a true concept ?? >> >> The statement reduces to God == The Universe which is a very good Hindu concept so I'm told. I think the technical term for it is pantheistic monism. The Christian (and I think the Jewish) God is both Immanent (He has the ability to be present everywhere) yet at the same time He is believed to be Transcendent, that is, He is distinctly separate from His Creation. Please let's hear from our Seminarians and Rabbinical students on this one. Bob Brown {...ihnp4!akgua!rjb}

How incredibly Christocentric of me !! If there any followers of other Eastern religions besides Judaism and Christianity who probably have a good insight into God == The Universe please contribute your thoughts. Bob Brown {...ihnp4!akgua!rjb}
