[net.religion.christian] It's not `Last Rites' anymore

ptl@fluke.UUCP (Mike Andrews) (11/25/85)

Hi,

Just a quick note. The Roman Catholic church no longer calls
the sacrament for the sick Extreme Unction (spelling?), or
Last Rites. It is now referred to as the Sacrament of the
Sick. The intent is to pray for God's Blessings on a sick
person, whether they are dieing or not. Anyone who is sick
can ask for such prayer.

God Bless,

Mike Andrews

God said He would never leave me nor forsake me, and that I am His temple.

A man is what he thinks.

A body led by the soul is only 2/3 of a person : the soul tries to get rid of
			        the spirit.
A body led by the spirit is a whole person : the spirit works to make the soul
help the body. And a spirit led by God the Holy Spirit is invincible.
