It doesn't seem like such a coincidence, a Macintosh is an apple, which is why the chief said apple...Macintosh, and is why apple chose the name Macintosh. Unless there is more to it than that, then it is pretty simple. Cris Rys -->sdcc6!ix408

You see, a macintosh (however it is really spelled) is just a type of apple - whence came the name for Apple's Mac.
