Daniel Lanois is a Toronto-based musician and producer. He has been
connected with most of the releases on the Current/Wave label, including
Martha & the Muffins/M+M and the Parachute Club (which nobody in the States
seems to know about -- why don't some of you Canadians mention such bands...).
He often plays various backup instruments on the albums he produces.
His connection w/Brian Eno, as I gather, is pretty recent, and the U2 album
is the first result.
