People have mentioned that the memory manager would have problems with an "ObeseMac" ( >0.5 MB) because of the gap created by the hardware addresses. I think that will will see usable 1 or 2 MB Macs as soon as someone rewrites the memory manager to overlook this problem. There is already a 1M Mac compatible machine -- it's the LISA 2 with 1M of main memory. Rumour has it that also a 1M Mac will appear in the not too distant future. Smalltalk and similar environments will certainly need it. Thomas. breuel@harvard
