There is a kludgy way to set MacTerminal as the startup application and have it read in a preset terminal definition file. Just name the MacTerminal document with the terminal settings "Untitled". Since this is the default file that MacTerminal uses, it works. The only minor nuisance is that it always asks you the name of the file to save the current screen in when you quit (since Untitled is a special case for it). Oh well ...
