Has anybody purchased ConcertWare, from Great Wave Software? At the Berkeley MUG last night, there was a demonstration (including an 8-part work by Bach done on 2 Macs) which was very impressive. According to the brochure, the Writer includes accidentals, rests, slurs, ties, endings, repeats, key signatures, and time signatures. It sounds and looks pretty impressive, but has anybody used it enough to describe its best features and limitations? Thanx initvants, Steven Grady

Somehow I missed the early discussions describing ConcertWare when they appeared on the net. I would greatly appreciate some descriptive information about that program, such as its capabilities, availability, and cost. Although I am not a musician, I have three children (son, daughter, and daughter-in-law) who are and therefore I like to keep abreast of potentially interesting new software for them. Both my son and daughter own Macs, so there's ample opportunity for them to use programs discussed here. I recently bought my daughter-in-law (who teaches music in a Wisconsin high school) a copy of MusicWorks. She received it last Saturday and spent much of the next two days playing with the different features. Her comment was "its a blast" or at least words to that affect. As seems only polite here, thanks in advance for the information. Don Levy
