Just to embellish one inane idea with another, I'd like to modify Rich Rosen's notion of a "time gravity" that pulls us toward a single point on the time axis (time as 4th dimension, here), to one of a NEGATIVE "time gravity" that PUSHES us away from a single point (i.e., The Beginning). Sort of fits better with the Big Bang theory, or at least it feels that way to me. This way, we get a nice singularity in both space and time -- more Big Bang for the buck, so to speak.
