----- A phone information service has been set up by an L.A. company called Candle dealing with news, rumors, and product info about Apples (including Macs). It's aimed at moderate- to very-experienced users, and isn't usually tutorial. It's a free service while they test-market the idea, so the only cost is toll charges (no 800 number). The phone number in L.A. is 213-687-4662. If there's a big response they may put it up more permanently on a chargeable number. -- Jim Gillogly {decvax, vortex}!randvax!jim jim@rand-unix.arpa

The phone number in L.A. is 213-687-4662. Just tried it. I think it was aimed at my three-year-old kid. A recorded voice said something like "5-4-3-2-1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1-test out", and then I got a dial tone. > If there's a big response they may put it up more permanently on a chargeable > number. They should pay ME for this garbage. Take the line down/off-hook/whatever if the message isn't tested, and get your act together. Great test marketing. They had better improve FAST. bill William Cox Computer Sciences Department University of Wisconsin, Madison WI bill@uwisc ...{ihnp4,seismo,allegra}!uwvax!bill -- William Cox Computer Sciences Department University of Wisconsin, Madison WI bill@uwisc ...{ihnp4,seismo,allegra}!uwvax!bill
