I am trying to figure out how to use the ImageWriter both in Europe (primarily England) and in the US. The normal procedure -- and the one that works for the Macintosh CPU itself -- is to purchase a system that works on 115V, 50/60HZ, and to use a step-down transformer when in Europe to get the voltage right. The problem is that the Apple ImageWriter manual states that the Imagewriter is available in four versions, none of which seem proper for this purpose: 115V +/- 10% 60Hz 100V +/-10% 50/60Hz 220V +/-10% 50Hz 240V +/-10% 50Hz The only option for both 50 and 60HZ is for 100 Volts, a voltage level that is not standard anywhere, as far as I know. Thus, it would not work either in Europe or in the US, at least not without a transformer that stepped down the US 115V to 100 and the European 220 or 240 V to 100. (Unless one could push that 10% tolerance level a bit -- but then the power at the wall outlet is probably only within 10%, and it could swing in the wrong way.) Has anyone else faced this problem?
