Well, The new (v2.0) Megamax-C has been shipped out and those who had v1.2 and earlier will probably find it a vast improvment. A brief list of new features: a) A routine that changes the toolbox calls from lower case to mixed case ala Inside Mac. It even changes the names in the system library if you wish. b) A batch file thing. You can now do a makefile type batch file. It'll work with any applications, not just the megamax stuff. c) Same huge (Bill Duvals') editor. ho hum. It comes with FILE for those of you who want a smaller editor. d) A transfer desk acc. that lets you go from one thing to annother quite nicely. e) Improved user interface in all Megamax applications. The linker now displays a scroll window with all .o files and libraries and allows you to add them into a 'linking area'. Also, you can change the name of the executible from a.out to anything you wish. The compiler just singles out .c files for possible compilation, etc. The disassembler and librarian also make better use of the user interface. f) The executible file is no longer deleted if it already exsists. This means that if you made a code hack you don't need to re-compile the resourses with the executible. It just replaces CODE and DATA resourses. g) Device driver support h) Structure passing i) setjmp and longjmp added j) floating point macro that lets you decide what and how to round. The list goes on... Hope everyone out there is having as good luck with it as I am. bye for now... flip -- Tom (Flip) Phillips The Ohio State University osu-eddie!tepj
