From: Jim Mayer <mayer> I am looking for a Macintosh program that would allow part of an image to be outlined (using the mouse) and would return the area of the outlined section. I am making this request for a biology type who needs to compute the cross sectional area of some organs in a tissue sample. The general procedure is to make a slide section (which could be read into the Mac using a digitizer), outline the organ by hand, and compute the outlined area. The old method is to make a print of the slide, cut out the organ cross section, and weigh the cut out piece of paper! There are computerized systems available, but these folks don't have one handy and do have a Mac. -- Jim Mayer University of Rochester (arpa) mayer@Rochester.ARPA Department of Computer Science (uucp) rochester!mayer Ray P.
