I just got a mailer from the Cucumber Bookshop, which has an order blank for UNIX books. They are yet another company who uses the USENIX mailing list for monetary gains. Not cool. Among them they have the Bell System Technical Journal (Jul/Aug 78 v57 n6 part 2) on UNIX for $5.00. This note is just to remind everyone that you can still order the UNIX BSTJ (or any back issue of the BSTJ) by calling the BSTJ circulation desk at 201-564-2582 and it only costs $2.00 for a back issue. BSTJ subscription rate is $20 a year, and is only recommended to hard core telecommunications addicts. Cucumber does offer the four UNIX books that seem to be available, Gauthier, Kernighan and Ritchie, Thomas and Yates, and Zhan.
