Does anyone have clear documentation on how to make the free-form synthesiser work. Now I think about it, some real, live, working C code fragment would be of more help to me. I am learning to mistrust documentation and the "inside mac" scrap-book. I have had difficulty figuring out how to get it to play long (many second) sound samples, without a click between each buffer the driver deals with. I am willing to believe this is impossible, which makes the whole sound stuff useless to me. What is giving me hope is that I have not been able to set things up so the driver operates asynchronously, which must be possible if the thing is to be of any use. My edition of "Inside Mac" does not explain much of this and I have had to work in contradiction to what it does say to get any sound out at all. When I get something interesting working I will post to the net. Thank you. Adrian Freed
