Here, from Compuserve, is a nice article on how to modify the minifinder window in the system file to a larger more stylish window similar to the one in Microsoft Word. Using the Resource Editor, open the System File. Then open DITL. Then open DITL -4000. Change the information in here to the following: Place holder 0 Display rect 68 246 86 314 Item type 4 Item info OPEN Place holder 0 Display rect 9999 9999 9999 9999 Item type 132 Item info Place holder 0 Display rect 96 246 114 314 Item type 4 Item info CANCEL Place holder 0 Display rect 36 242 52 400 Item type 128 Item info Place holder 0 Display rect 68 335 86 403 Item type 4 Item info EJECT Place holder 0 Display rect 96 335 114 403 Item type 4 Item info DRIVE Place holder 0 Display rect 4 4 118 221 Item type 0 Item info Place holder 0 Display rect 4 220 118 236 Item type 0 Item info Place holder 0 Display rect 64 324 118 325 Item type 0 Item info Place holder 0 Display rect 8 260 24 405 Item type 136 Item info Place holder 0 Display rect 0 0 0 0 Item type 128 Item info Okay, when that is done, and you have closed it, go open the DLOG. Now open DLOG ID=-4000. Now change it to match the following: boundsRect 38 31 160 438 procID 1 visible (false) goAway (false) refCon 0 items ID -4000 title GF That should do it! I haven't had any problems using this with any applications, although sometimes the minifinder will appear off-center. Ed Edell 74216,1312 Compuserve -- Jim Budler Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
