The new Addison-Wesley catalog carries a blurb on a new Unix book by none other than Steve Bourne. From the description it is not purely a beginners' guide, but still might be useable for that purpose. I have not seen the book itself yet.

c I just talked to my favorite book supplier about Bourne's Unix book and their catalogs say that it won't be published until January of 1983, unfortunately.
