I'm considering giving up my 512K Mac for a Mac XL with the intent
of gaining:
o 10 MB of fast internal disk
o 1 MB of memory
o unknown additional advantages?
but am concerned about several issues:
o I keep hearing rumors that Apple is "going to be fixing" the
incompatible pixel problem. I thought that this was fixed with running
under MacWorks. Can anybody set me straight on this?
o I understand that some Mac programs will NOT work correctly
under MacWorks. Does anybody know which ones, and why, and moreover
what restrictions are involved?
o How does the Finder limitations of # files/speed of accessing
large numbers of files dealt with, considering the hard disk?
o ...
I'd be very interested in any insights from people who are
already using Mac XLs about the pros and cons of making this move.
Thanks!
~Jeff~
