Hearing that MacDraw is finally released, I went to my local computer store to buy a copy. Imagine my surprise when the salesman told me that list price for MacDraw has gone up from $125 to $195! What has happened to Apple's software pricing policy? When the Mac came out Apple announced that they would make every effort to keep software prices in the $100 neighborhood; that they would encourage software houses to plan to make profits through high volume rather than high price. Why did the MacDraw price go through the roof? Did Apple decide that the demand for MacDraw allowed the price increase? Was the $125 price just a market test? After telling everyone else to count on volume sales, Has Apple itself discovered that the market for Mac software isn't large enough to keep the prices down? The MacDraw price increase seems to be one more way that Apple is abandoning the home market in favor of the high-priced business market. I'm sorry I bought this MacMoneySink in the first place.
