Ever since info-mac went to digest form, I've grown used to the frustration of
seeing "[This program has been archived on SUMEX]" instead of the hex source of
some really nifty program. However, in many cases the program turns up
eventually on net.sources.mac, or I get it on disk from somebody in a local
users' group.
Recently, however, I experienced the new frustration of seeing "[This program
has been archived on SUMEX]" in fa.info-mac, followed by an article in
net.sources.mac telling me the same thing! %*&@%*!!! (The particular instance
was the "Watch" desk accessory.)
Can somebody somewhere please figure out a way to formalize the posting to
net.sources.mac of new Mac programs mentioned in fa.info-mac and archived at
SUMEX? Either that, or tell me how to get to SUMEX from Usenet (which I am
pretty sure is impossible).

P.S. I'm posting this complaint because I don't think it would do any
good to send mail to "info-mac@uw-beaver", the poster of the articles in
net.sources.mac that incited this flame.furuta@uw-beaver (Richard Furuta) (04/30/85)
info-mac@beaver just forwards its messages to info-mac@sumex. If you want to talk to the moderator of the list, drop a message to info-mac-request@sumex. I believe that the moderator of info-mac has been trying to post those things directly to Usenet that are instead being archived for the Arpanet. I think that the recent set of messages that just had the archival notice were posted by error and that he really meant to post the whole thing. --Rick
