[] There is now available a disk full of Macintosh technical information, including schematics, dissassembly of the keyboard ROM, tips on how to optimize the Mac, how to upgrade memory, and a whole lot more. All this on 372K worth of Macpaint and Macwrite documents. This treasurechest of information can be obtained by sending $25 to: The IM Underground. 715 Church Street #16 Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104 The authors say that none of the information is in violation of copyrights - the schematics were done by tracing the Mac boards, and the ROMs were found on non-Apple products. Place usual disclaimer here: Like, me got no connection with them guys and the like.

The authors say that none of the information is in violation of copyrights - the schematics were done by tracing the Mac boards, and the ROMs were found on non-Apple products. I haven't opened my Mac, so I don't know for sure, but most manufacturers copyright their PC boards. That would probably make the schematics in question a derivative of a copyrighted work, and hence the property of the copyright owner. Any copyright wizards care to comment?
