I recently acquired Finder 4.1, te version 1.1 System File, Font/Da Mover version 1.2. and MacPaint version 1.42. I know these are not the official Apple releases but I went ahead and installed the new Finder and System File as well as the MacPaint application on an old MacPaint application disk. I then used the Font/Da Mover to remove all the DA's except Choose Printer and Control Panel and to remove all fonts except New York, Geneva, Cairo and Venice. This left about 120k free on the disk. The problem is that when I attempt to open MacPaint I get a dialog box telling me that there is not enough memory to for MacPaint ?!?! Does this mean that the new releases are really tuned to the 512k Macs and not to us skinny Mac users? If you do not wish to post your response to this BB you can Mail to: calamai@anl-mcs.ARPA Thanks......Paul
