I have had no luck getting four applications running with Switcher2.0. Loading the last application always causes Switcher to bomb. Is this the common experience?

Switcher 2.0 bombs when you overrun its memory allocation. Switcher 2.6 solves this problem but gives you 20K less memory to use. Switcher 3.0 will supposedly be uploaded to Compuserve "real soon now". To run four applications with Switcher 2.0 turn off save screen and/or allocate less than 128K for some or all of the applications. Keep an eye on the available memory and be sure you don't exceed it.

The switcher only accomodates four or more applications if you reduce the memory of each application a bit. Four times 128 kByte would leave no space for the system. Agreed that the system error is a bit harsh, but reportedly you can get back to the switcher after system errors with a chord like command-option-shift-period. To reduce the memory of an application, choose "configure then install" from the Switcher menu. Again, if you reduce it too much, it will bomb. Good luck!
