We are about to buy a couple of MacIntosh and Sun-2. The Macs are to be connected via AppleTalk. Now I wonder the following: 1. In a posting Aug 28, 1984, a specification for the hardware for an Applebus - Ethernet Gateway by Bill Croft & Nick Veizades, Stanford Sumex project. Is that still the best way to go? Is there any commersial products that makes a Sun with the Multibus to talk to AppleNet? 2. If we can make the Sun talk to the AppleNet, we want to make the Sun to act as a FileServer for the MacIntoshes. Has anybody done that? Has anybody tried? Anything we should be aware of? Somehow I think someone must have thought about this before so I try the net. I hope for an answer, positive or negative. Hans Eriksson
