TO ALL MEGAMAX C USERS: Version 2.1 (available after June 15th) of the MegaMax C compiler has been announced. This version includes a number of bug fixes to the compiler, linker, librarian, disassembler, library and header files. To receive the updates send $15.00 with both your Megamax diskettes to: Megamax, Inc (214 987-4931) Box 851521 Richardson, TX 75085 Also anounced, in the "MegaMax C Newsletter Vol. 1, No. 1", is a symbolic debugger similar to dbx which will be available for $99.00 sometime in August. A Megamax c -Unix cross compiler is now available. I quote from the newsletter: "June 1, 1985 we will release Megamax C running under a UNIX enviornment. Developers will be able to create Macintosh applications using the power of the UNIX operating system. The system is comprised of all programs on the Macintosh version of Megamax C with the addition of a UNIX based resource compiler and a down-load desk accessory for the Macintosh. Price is $3000." The newletter also includes Tech Notes on "Rolling you own ROM calls", an analysis of the small number of overlays one can use with the linker, a discussion on ROM routines dealing with boolean variables, and information relating to string "STR" resources. All of this if you sent in your little registration sheet.... Not bad. I sure hope these people keep these newsletters coming. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have no affiliation with Megamax INC. (other than the fact that I bought their compiler). I am passing this information on as a public service. -- Steve Upp University of Chicago Computation Center ARPA: Staff.Steve%UChicago.mailnet@Mit-Multics.arpa Bitnet: supp%sphinx@UChicago.bitnet Mailnet: Staff.Steve@UChicago.mailnet UUCP: ...!ihnp4!gargoyle!sphinx!supp
