WE NEED YOUR HELP in a research study aimed at improving computer
programmer's productivity through a better understanding of the
underlying basic factors associated with programming skills.

We would appreciate any feedback on the following questions:

--What are the characteristics of good and highly productive programmers?
  More specificly:
  WHAT TYPE OF ABILITIES? (eg:math,verbal,visual,mechanical,reasoning,etc.)
  WHAT TYPE OF INTERESTS? (eg:technical reading,video games,chess,etc.)
WHAT TYPE OF PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS? (eg:persistence, individualistic,
  practical,creative,analytical,etc.)

--What is your programming expertise?
  WHAT LANGUAGES? (FORTRAN,PASCAL,etc.)
HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE? (years and/or months)

If there is a significant number of responses I'll post a short summary
to the net in a couple of weeks.
