WE NEED YOUR HELP in a research study aimed at improving computer programmer's productivity through a better understanding of the underlying basic factors associated with programming skills. We would appreciate any feedback on the following questions: --What are the characteristics of good and highly productive programmers? More specificly: WHAT TYPE OF ABILITIES? (eg:math,verbal,visual,mechanical,reasoning,etc.) WHAT TYPE OF INTERESTS? (eg:technical reading,video games,chess,etc.) WHAT TYPE OF PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS? (eg:persistence,individualistic, practical,creative,analytical,etc.) --What is your programming expertise? WHAT LANGUAGES? (FORTRAN,PASCAL,etc.) HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE?
