I just had my first encounter with Microsoft Chart and the LaserWriter. The two just do not cooperate in certain areas. - Scaling in the "Page Setup" should always be at 100%. Anything more or less will yield unpredictable results. Well, OK, they are predictable - all of the text scales properly, nothing else does. - Any charts with "point indicators" such as the diamond, hollow box, solid box, etc. don't work right; the indicators simply don't show up. If you have placed them over a background, they leave a properly shaped "white shadow" in their place. I spoke the the representative from Microsoft, and he indicated that the version of Chart that I am using (1.0 8/8/84) is current, and that they are aware of the bugs, but no fix is yet available. On the plus side, 100% scaled charts that don't have point indicators, look great such as pie, bar, and column charts. Watch out for bordered text though things don't line up very well.
