Has anyone noticed the bug in the new finder when copying files? The box which says "files remaining to copy: #" never changes (using the old system, the number would be decremented as each file was copied)! Wayne Pollock, ...!cbnap!whp PS I miss "put back" too!

In the old (v1) finders that I had, it would not decrement the file count each time a file was copied. It would do it some of the time. It seemed to depend on the size of the file. If you were copying a lot of small files that all fitted in memory at the same time, it would subtract that number from the number of files left to copy. With large files it would just decrement the number when the file was copied. The new finder seems to do what you said your old finder did. (I am using an XL with 1Mb). I miss PUT BACK too. -- Jacques Giraud (utcs!disus) Disus Division, TSB International Inc. 557 Dixon Rd Rexdale, Ontario, Canada M9W 1H7 (416) 249-2246

My finder does not do this. It doesn't decrement after every file, though. (Just after every batch of stuff copied.)
