Blind juggling is indeed possible. I know several jugglers who can juggle for reasonable periods of time without seeing the balls. The best I know of is Nick Burgoyne, a math professor at Berkeley, whom I have seen do this for several minutes. He does it while on his knees and juggles a very small reverse cascade pattern. None of the people I know actually do this blindfolded. They need to start the pattern where they can see it, but once it is going they can be blinded. Burgoyne, for instance, looks straight up into the sky. (The pattern he is juggling is so small I'm sure he can't see it.) One secret to juggling is making very accurate throws, as every juggler knows. It's not too surprising that some very talented people can do it without seeing the balls. I to can believe in blind jugglers. I am a very poor juggler and am blind in one eye. I have never seen my right hand in action but reflexs seem to work fine; maybe because of interpolating the flight. dave hollander PS. sorry about the to (too).
