Hi,
I'm attempting to associate a home-grown icon with an application that I
produced with MegaMax C.
I started with the vanilla double-clickable application which had the
default application icon.
Using ResEdit, I created several new resources in the application file
called "arrow":
o An ICN# resource, containing my personal icon. In the GetInfo
window, I gave this icon a resource number of 128.
o A FREF resource containing 1 entry showing APPL and a
ResourceID of 128.
o A BNDL resource containing 2 entries, one pointing to the ICN#
resource with ResourceID = 128 and LocalID = 0, and another pointing to
FREF with ResourceID = 128 and LocalID = 0.
I then set the BUNDLE BIT using FEDIT and expected (sigh) to see my
nifty new icon on the desktop. But, alas, something seems to have other
ideas.
I compared several other applications which already have icons
established with what I had done, and they seem similar or, in some
cases, identical.
What have I missed?
Thanks,
Jeff Harrow
