One difficulty with getting upgraded software (e.g. the finder) via the net is an occasional lack of documentation, although some recent submissions have been well explained. Still, some things remain a mystery. For example, a recent message regarding the finder mentioned in passing "double clicking on the finder while holding down the command and option keys", which apparently cleans up the desk top. While I knew that there was some way to do this, I didn't know how until I read this message and I'm sure there are still other features I haven't heard of at all. I rather suspect this is true of other software, although the finder is my current interest. Is there some documentation available for these commands? If not, would someone be willing to mail me or to post a list of the things they know about? An available collection of Mac "tricks", such as is gradually accumulating at SUMEX will be most useful. -- Kevin Crowston UUCP: {seismo,ut-sally}!harvard!kevin MIT Sloan School of Management ARPA: kevin@harvard.ARPA
