I urgently need to know how to change the paper size on the LW. I mainly want to be able to change the length of the document. I am convinced that the information concerning the paper size is stored in a resource in LW driver. So, if you have some information on what resource I have to look at and in what format the data is stored please drop me a note. (Any information > is welcome !!) > I'm not sure this answers your question, but it should be a start. This information comes from BIX (the Byte Information Exchange). Info about paper formats is stored in PREC resources (Printer RECord?). PREC number 3 is the generic one. (Look for others, LW install may add one.) The first word is the number of paper sizes. This is followed by pairs of words, each of which gives the height and width of a paper size in 1/120ths of an inch. The sizes are followed by the names of the paper sizes. The procedure suggested by the author of this note (a familiar name which escapes me at the moment) was to duplicate PREC #3 as PREC #4 and paste the modified PREC #4 into the application for which you wanted to use modified paper sizes. -- Ephraim Vishniac [apollo, bbncca, cadmus, decvax, harvard, linus, masscomp]!wanginst!vishniac vishniac%Wang-Inst@Csnet-Relay
