I'm trying to use macget to bring Filevision files onto UNIX BSD 4.2. Most of the time it works fine. On one particular file, however, only about 26% of the file get transfered before macget hangs and the disk drive quits humming. Cntrl . gets me out of Send File (I'm using MacTerminal), although sometimes I can't talk to UNIX anymore and have to disconnect and login again. I need file transfer to be VERY robust since a system we're putting together requires users to do this transfer. We can always work around by turning the binary into ascii hex and transfering the resulting file, but we'd rather not. Does anyone know what the source of this problem is? Or can suggest an alternative to the MacTerminal/macget combination? Thanks in advance. Will post results if there seems to be interest.
