I have spent much of the day playing with the latest (to my knowledge) version of Experlisp - version 1.04. Historically ExperLisp has had so many bugs that it has been unusable. ExperTelligence has been promissing a killer Lisp for the Mac called 2.0. Its original release date was to have been about now, so I was excited when the mail arrived. 1.04 is a long way from what 2.0 promisses. Its editor finally has parenthesis matching and they offer a "beta test" tracer. Unfortunately the whole program still is riddled with bugs and is not worth the bucks at this time. (I think a simple typo like setqgarbage shouldn't crash the program and jam the disk in the drive for example) I hope that 2.0 comes out one of these days. ExperTelligence has been good aboutproviding updates and they are aware of many of the bugs. Until then I will use PSL from Utah (if the Utah people are listening perhaps they could tell us if they are still planning enhancements).
