Well, I've seen it all now. The discussion of the appropriateness of putting shareware on the net has now been put on the mickey mouse (TM, no doubt) list! I am talking about the recent posting of "Think Ahead+," to net.sources.mac. This is a game and the About ThinkAhead page reads: This Program is based on the Board Game 'Think Ahead' marketed by Leisure Learning Products Inc. 50 Greenwich Avenue Greenwich Connecticut 06830 (c) all rights reserved This program is being ditributed(sic) as ShareWare. If you like it, please send $5.00 and any comments you may have to me. Keep ShareWare Alive ! This program written by: Keith Lambert (CIS 75076,34) 3433 Marathon Dr. San Diego, Calif. 92123 (619) 279-5309 -- Copyright (c) 1985 Now, I'm NOT accusing anybody, BUT. Mr. Keith Lambert, does Leisure Learning Products, Inc. KNOW what you're up to? Did you secure their permission to try to make money copying their copyrighted game? Or do you want to rethink your plea for honesty in ShareWare? -Brian Diehm Tektronix, Inc. P.S. - Just to be safe, having downloaded this game, I am now going to destroy all copies made and thereby 'refrain' from perpetuating a potential fraud.
