This is an old program around called Banner, which makes banners on the
imagewriter. (Boy, does it eat up ribbons!) I don't know whether it
is public domain or not. (No, I didn't steal my copy! It was on a
disk with a bunch of public-domain utilities, but banner had a
copyright notice, so I haven't used it since trying
it out, and don't want to send it to Mr. Macks.) Does anyone know the
status of this program?

The new version of Red Ryder is 6.2. It supports Ascii, XModem, and
Kermit file transfers, and VT-100 terminals. I hope this helps you.

However, I have been having a problem, which no one in San Diego
seems to have heard of. When using Red Ryder 6.2 on a UNIX VAX, and
using VI, Red Ryder inevitably freezes up (crashes, but does not
display the 'bomb', it just stops working). This always happens to
me after a few minutes of work, and usually sometime after typing
ctrl L. I'm using the VT-100 terminal type. After re-booting the
Mac, I'm still sitting in VI on the VAX, waiting to continue. If
anyone has had similair problems, let me know.
