The following was posted on the USUS (UCSD Pascal Users Society) Bulletin
Board on GTE/Telemail. SofTech Microsystems sold the UCSD p-System for
various machines, the MacAdvantage: UCSD Pascal for the Mac and misc other
software. Looks like they're now officially closed down and transferring
assets to Pecan Software Systems, Inc.

Subj: Purchase of SMS
Pecan Software Systems, Inc. (briefly known as p-Cube Microsystems!) has signed
an Asset Purchase Agreement with SofTech, Inc. of Waltham, Mass. to purchase
all assets of SofTech Microsystems, Inc. The closing is scheduled for Tuesday,
October 29, 1985 in Boston.
I and three employees of ours spent the past week in San Diego soaking in
technical and other aspects of the business of SofTech Microsystems and packing
the physical assets in preparation for the move.
The trucks are scheduled to load and roll on Tuesday and will take about one
week to reach Brooklyn, New York. Pecan Software Systems' staff are gradually
coming online; we should be in full operation within two weeks from the
initiation of the move.
I'll be in Baltimore on Sunday giving a talk titled "The Future of the
p-System". More details available then!
