An interesting note from the arpanet, for those who don't read it -- apparently there's a permanent magnet under the cover of the Imagewriter I on the top left side that's used to latch the cover. So if you set disks on top of the Imagewriter, you can kill them. Thanks to Carl D. Howe for pointing this out. Bart Massey ...tektronix!reed!bart

I just couldn't stand it anymore!
The "dumb" little magnet under the imagewriter cover mates with a smart little
switch attached to the imagewriter below it, so dumb little hands don't get
broken by a moving print head.
Ever seen one of those babies do a carriage return!
