When receiving data with Macterm, we occasionally get a disk full error. If we then return to the Finder, there is often over 200K of free space. This is an August 1984 version of Macterm and the 4.1 Finder. Does any one know what the problem might be and how to fix it?

Macterminal has the following bug: if you open an *unnamed* or *new* document, Macterminal will very soon think the disk is filling up. The work-around, obviously enough, is to open a previously saved document, or use the "save as..." command with a new document.
