[net.micro.mac] MacHelp wanted

goran@erix.UUCP (Goeran Baage) (11/12/85)

I have a number of problems/questions that I hope some of you
MacNetLanders can help me out with.

1. Is it possible to remap the command keys? MS Word and MS File
use command keys (e.g. CMD-/, and ?) that are shifted on the Swedish
keyboard and consequently can't be used. If a remapping cannot
be done generally, can Word and Find be patched (anyone from
   MicroSoft listening)?

2. Does anyone know why MS Find don't care about the date format
set up in the INTL 0 resource? I have defined the date format
the way I want it, but File stubbornly gives me the US date
format (which is somewhat backwards the way we read dates).
   Any fix?

3. What parameters are passed to the keymap resource INIT 0?
It seems that D0, D1, D2 and D3 are used and also some global
variables (#17A, #2F8,...). What are the values passed?
I can't find much information in Inside Mac or Macintosh
   Revealed vol I.

4. Can anyone send me MacsBug documentation. I have a list of commands
added to the version I have (supposed to include a disassembler),
but not a complete command list.

5. Is there any ResEdit documentation available? I found some items
   in our news archive labelled
       ResEdit appendices (Old news)
       ResEdit Document (of a sort)
but I havn't been able to convert these to a sensible form that
I can download to my Mac.

6. Some DA:s, e.g. SetFile and Teleport, bombs (ID=2?) when I try to
use them. Has this anything to do with the "new" system and if
   so is there a cure?

Please send replies by mail. I am grateful for any help you can give.
