After looking back at some mail I missed in October, I notice that a few folks were interested in a patch for Finder 4.1 that keeps it from switching system disks when you run an application. I kept a copy of the modified Finder on my Corvus hard disk (until I started using HFS and Finder 5.0). The patch is a one-byte change: Find: 6726 554F 4878 ... Change: 6026 554F 4878 ... These 6 bytes probably will be unique even if you have ResEdit'ed the Finder a bit or added fonts and desk accessories. Darin Adler
