[net.micro.mac] net.sources.mac and TMON

darin@ut-dillo.UUCP (Darin Adler) (11/27/85)

I have a bit of a dilemma. I would like to make my Extended User Area
for TMON (which includes a number of nice things that were forgotten
in the original program) available to UseNet. Unfortunately, the
source code (MDS assembler) is over 157K. Thus posting it is a chancy
thing that will only increase the volume in net.sources.mac. The
object code (BinHex) is about 25K, but I do not want to distribute it
without source.

If any of you out there are users of TMON and are interested in the
Extended User Area, drop me a line and I will try to mail it out. If
there is sufficient interest (and no protest), I will post to
net.sources.mac.

By the way, plans are now underway for the next major revision of TMON
which will include many of the best features of the Extended User
Area. In addition, all of the TMON code will be in "user area" form,
so that the user writing a user area will have as much control as the
programmer writing the "original" TMON. If you have suggestions or
feedback about TMON, write to ICOM Simulations (formerly TMQ Software)
or send me mail and I will pass them along.
