Does anyone out there still use XLISP? I am working on version 1.6 of XLISP for both the Macintosh and MS-DOS and am looking for input from current users as to what features are needed in the new version. If you have written any extensions to XLISP yourself and are willing to contribute them to the free version, I would be happy to examine them and consider them for inclusion in 1.6. Has XLISP outlived its usefulness now that there are many commercial (and inexpensive) versions of Lisp on the market? Thanks in advance for any input, David Betz ...!harvard!betz

(This shouldn't be posted to the net, but I don't have ARPAccess.) I still use XLISP (1.4) for manipulating tonerows and such. While it is neither speedy nor integrated with the Mac ToolBox, it's standard enough to allow programs written in it to be dragged onto the Vax when speed becomes a factor. It's also free, and that's important to my income bracket. -- ======= : Ben : ..!decvax!yale!goetter goetter@yale-comix.ARPA ("We are not in the Eighth Dimension. We are over New Jersey.")

I tried to send this as a reply to the person who sent the original request, but the news software didn't get the return address right and I got an error from the mailer. If anyone wants a copy of XLISP for the Macintosh, you can get source, executable and documentation on a single Macintosh disk. Just send a formatted disk and a stamped, self-addressed return mailer to: David Betz 114 Davenport Ave. Manchester, NH 03103 P.S. PLEASE make sure you send a STAMPED return mailer. I don't return disks that come without return postage.
