Now that I have about 40 disks full of stuff, it is getting difficult finding things. Is there an disk cataloging software available (either public domain, shareware or otherwise) that does a decent job. I've been thinking about writing it myself but, at the moment, I'd rather spend my time catching up on other things. It doesn't have to be fancy...the "print catalog" option of the finder (unless there are bells and whistles of which I'm not aware) is near useless for disks with lots of files and folders. (This one is for the nasty line eater I've heard so much about) Yes there is a disk-librarian-cataloger available. I had the same problem till I found this one. It is not in the public domain or shareware. Its name is Mac Disk Catalog. I believe it cost around $35. It is from New Canaan Microcode 136 Beech Road New Canaan, CT 06840 (203) 966-6969 The program works very well, and you can move the data in collects to another, larger database such as Overvue.
