For all of you out there who like flight sims, I have just finished testing a new one for the Mac. As far as I am conserned, it blows the pants off any other flight sim I have tested. The program is called: WW1 Fokker Triplane Simulator and it is written by: Donald A. Hill Jr. Bullseye Software P.O. Drawer 7900 Incline Village NV 89450 The game itself puts you in control of a WW1 Fokker Triplane. The control panel consists of an artificial horizon, altimeter, airspeed gauge, compass and VOR (No, they didn't really have a VOR in real Fokkers). You start the game by taking off from your home base and then flying to one of a number of destinations. The various types of missions include "Seek and Destroy", "Dogfight", "Touch and Go's" (practice following a friendly plane along a flight path). You can set various setting to determine the wind conditions, the cloud ceiling, whether or not the enemy is armed, and the sensitivity of your own airplane. When your are flying the graphic scenery flies by with incredible smoothness. Furthermore, when you shoot at other airplanes, enemy oil tanks, and enemy balloons, they are destroyed with nice effects. As well as getting points for destroying these things, you also get points for doing such daredevil things as flying under bridges and locating enemy spy signals. This is a surprisingly realistic game. Great fun!!!!!! Jordan Kalpin University of Toronto, Mechanical Engineering kalpin@utecfc.UUCP
