There was a great furor at one time over dragging disk icons to trash causing an eject and window erasure. The complaint was that this was non-intuitive. That it would be seen as meaning 'erase this disk' by the average Macuser. Pondering this, I find that I agree. There is a subconsious feeling of dred at doing this. Perhaps it should be caused to mean 'erase this disk'. But then, how to eject and clear windows? Put a 'go away' box on the disk icons. The world remains intuitive and coherent. Is it too late?
