[net.micro.mac] 3-D programs for the mac?

meredith@utah-cs.UUCP (Mark J Meredith) (01/10/86)

Does anyone out there know of any 3-D programs for the mac that will
rotate the image and show hidden lines? I would like to input the front,
top, and left or right side views and have the 3-D image be made from these.
It also needs to be able to print on a laserwriter.
Any suggestions would be greatly apperciated.

We just got Easy3D. It's great. You get solid, shaded, hidden surface
removed, hidden line removed images. You can view from any of the six
primary directions one at a time or four at a time. You use a lathe,
jigsaw, primitives, or merging to create objects. By makeing one object
of a merge 'anti-matter' you can subtract one solid from another. The
user interface is fairly nice. The price is $99 list. It's a little
slow, but what do you expect from a 8Mhz 68000 anyway? Oh, you can have
up to 4 independent light sources.

I have a public domain demo of 3-D Graphics by V. Lempereur.
It draws an outline of the Mac and then rotates it randomly in all
directions.
