One must remember that the quality of "Commercial Television" is fostered by the controllers, namely those who buy commercial time. The reason that "Public Television" has maintained its high quality is that those who contribute funds to PBS have no say so on what is produced or purchased. I believe that the only reason firms contribute to Public Television is because they realize that there are intelligent viewers who spend money without the "aid" of "commercials." I believe this is the difference that keeps Public Television at a higher quality level over Commercial Television. What other difference is there? Joey Duhon Chicago
